i have 1976 bayliner 26 1/2 foot cabin cruiser with a fly bridge.
ive been told it has a TR or TR2 out drive it is set up for salt water
with its own coolant system and the stern drive does not run water thru
it. it has some sort of hydrolic shift pump or transmission between the
motor and outdrive on the inside of the boat that takes tranny fluid i
also found a electric motor on this pump which is working when i go
forward and into reverse but my pump doesnt seem to be transfrering power
from the motor to the out drive. can you identify the problem. ive been
told the "tranny" was out, if so do you know where i can locate one? or how i can possitively identify my stern drive? any info about this motor-outdrive will help!!!
>

Welcome to iboats.

Sounds like a TRS drive. Pre-Bravo. They're direct drive and need a transmission. That's about where my limited knowledge on these end. Haven't seen more than one or two, myself.
