So im working on getting the transom pulled apart. They had at somepoint tried to strengthen it with an extra piece of would. Aluminum isnt pitted anywhere. No cracks really. But has alot of holes that werent originally there. Was thinkong about having a new piece welded in by a shop jere in town. Would it be worth it?
The triangle shaped supports in picture 28b, did you drill out the rivets on the bottom of the boat in order to get the transom board in? Or did you insert pieces of wood instead of a solid transom?
