Hello All. I just picked up a bass boat with a 1976 Johnson 115 HP outboard with power tilt. Upon inspection and getting the boat engine running, I noted that the power tilt spewed out oil from a missing plug screw from the manual release. It appears to be the "relief value and O-ring..part# 0172767. I need to replace this part, but it seems obsolete and not available. I have not found someone parting out their tilt system...so I am a crossroads.

Is there a bolt I can just buy and modify and seal that hole? Anyone ever DIY this issue before? Don't really want to buy a whole new unit....just need a bolt. Any ideas are appreciated.

Yeah...did that. The two places that show it also inform you it is obsolete and out of stock.

Hmmmm...looks like Evinrudeparts.ca might have it. I'm in the ol USA tho, so I will call them and see if they can ship it to me. Thanks for the tip!
