Re: 1976 sea ray srv 200 rebuild
With the engine still in place, and the floor still below that, it looks like I won't have to split the cap. I should be able to insert the top of the transom, and swing the bottom in. We shall see what the boat gods have in store for me when we cross that bridge.
I asked about grinding out the ski locker, because there is a drain hole in it. There is no more foam surrounding a tube that leads to the bilge? Or is there no "tube", just hull? I don't want to leave any wet foam in the boat. I don't intend to put a ski locker back in (due to my lack of fiberglassing skills) but may change my mind when I glass the stringers back in. If things go easy, it wouldn't be that hard to just re wrap the box. That is not in the immediate future, so I won't worry about that.
Good new now!!! I picked up some muffs, and made sure that the labor of love that I am about to put forth was going to be worth it.
Took some fuel down the chevy carb and an adjustment of the points, but she did crank up.

First time I have ever seen a chevy carb on a ford motor, but,,,,,,?????
Most of the wiring is dry and spliced like cable tv in a brooklyn building. It is raining here, so work will have to hold off till tomorrow, but I can't wait to rewire the motor.
any guesses on how fast this boat will run? (20' 188hp mercruiser 888/302)
Your guess can be in new condition, or used.
Just curious
