I have the EXACT problem
What I have come to guess is a bad timer base.
time base when advances, alows all cylinders to fire corectly. (warm up lever up)
put it down just a hair, it, for whatever reason, stops working and cuts off spark to one of the cylinders.
All for OHMs tests read normal with lever up.
put the lever down, and oms on cylinder 2 3 and 4 are ok, but 1 is at 0
Im about to go take the flywheel off and see what going on inside that timing base plate
