This motor sat up in my neighbor's yard for several years, I offered to fix it for him. Model number is 35753C. Bought and installed a carb kit, there was alot of gumming and varnish. Got it all cleaned up, reassembled (w/ the help of the shop manual via local library), and back on motor. Bought new 6 gallon tank and fuel line and primer bulb. Gave primer bulb a squeeze, fired right up. Ran for 15 seconds or so, then died. Smelled flooded. I let it sit overnight, came out the next morning and turned it over. No choke (elect. choke on this model), no bulb priming. Fired right up, ran for 20 seconds, then died. Again, smelled flooded. Removed the fogging plug to look down throat of carb, there was fuel present in the throat. Here are a few other steps I've taken: removed fuel line to carb, turned over engine. Good looking fuel supply. Choke is not closing inappropriately. I think it's getting too much gas but have no idea how to make it stop. Maybe a float adjustment. Any advice and guidance will be appreciated.
