Water pump is a fresh one. Don't see any of the used temp parts online anywhere, just new ones for gold prices. Compression test may happen tomorrow, before I start throwing $$$ at it. There are quite a few new parts that were already previously installed. Starter, all 3 coils, plugs, solenoid, carbs rebuilt, foot oil. All new stuff.

I pull my thermo stats out every year and soak them in salt away. Keeps everything nice but I'm saltchu....

I talk to myself all the time when I'm working on stuff....deeply into it. But I don't write to myself usually.

Pretty intense stuff.

Same here salt. I have some of my most intelligent conversations when I am by myself. And the answers are almost always what I want to hear.
I am planning on a compression test today which will determine stopping or continuing this old complete classic boat resurrection process. I have been tinkering with it and just putting very small $$ into it so far, but it adds up over time and I don't want to be upside down before it's done to my satisfaction. There has to be a stopping point.

now all you need is the t stat, x2 grommets and the cork t stat round gasket. this is on ebay. tons of springs available. just a thin coat of permatex aviation around the old t stat housing gasket and its usually just fine.
