1977 Eska 15 hp

This is some of the information I have about my outboard:
Model #: 14040A
Serial #: 14-065065
Brand: Eska
Year: 1977
HP: 15
Cylinders: 2

I don't know much about this motor just that it's a lot older than me (by more than double my age hahaha) and that the previous owner took care of it. I was wondering if anyone makes carbs for it anymore or if there are any used ones around. I have looked on EBay and I have found a couple that are similar but are not a perfect match. Are there any carbs out there that can be modified to work with this engine either? And lastly, what would this outboard be worth, in case I decide to go a different route...

Are you saying you don't have a carburetor? Unless it is total junk, it may be easier to repair it than find another one. Any used one you find probably needs going over anyway. New one??? Yeah, right. Well never say never, they say.

Its a Tecunseh carb # 631740A no longer available. Also Eska made game fisher and Ted Williams. I went on ebay and bought a lawn mower carb for 12 bucks that was a tecumseh model that was close and it went on a 12hp mower. look at this ebay link: Eska Sears Ted Williams Tecumseh Outboard Motor Carb Carburetor Kit 1961- 1987.

Well I kind of screwed up... I'll be honest it was a stupid mistake but I tightened the fuel pump on to tight and I went to take it back off and it got stripped. I guess I could try to retap the threads or chase them down but the fuel pump didn't fare to well...

I tapped the carb and fuel pump and got it to go back together! Saved me a huge headach for sure! Thank you guys for the info and have a good day!
