Where does water for cooling exit this motor? Got one that has a good impeller, runs decent but seems to get really warm and I wanted to make sure it was getting water before getting it too hot and causing damage to it.
The water exits out a small hole on the engine right next to the copper supply tube from the pump. If you suspect you have a water flow problem do like I did. Remove the lower unit and use a small piece of hose to send water directly up the supply tube. While I was in there I replaced the impeller and the stainless plate underneath it. Now it sprays water out the 6 small holes on the back above the lower unit.
