Here's the situation. I got this motor from a buddy to fix, came back with no spark, I had no issues starting this motor once I found out what the issue was, power pack had a short, i moved the wire going into the pack and I could get spark. I put a new OMC power pack on and now I have plenty of spark. Whilst trying to figure out the problem I had the slow idle knob off and screwed around with the adjustment. Now the thing won't start without starting fluid. It runs just great once it's running and it seems I can move that idle screw all the way in and it doesn't make one bit of difference. It gets fuel, I can see it in the line going to the carb. I tested the pressure with the line off and it pulses when the motor is turned over. It's not the pump, it's not spark, so it's pointing to the idle adjustment. Any ideas????

I think your on the right track. At the top of this forum there is a Top Secret File. Go there and read the post about setting your carb. and you should be good. If not, your carb. may need cleaning. Best of luck. Rick.
