1977 Grady White Finally Strip please look at the pictures

Hi there, I finally strip the floor and start the project, I’m very happy so far, any ideas on what to do with that big space where you see the white cooler, that space has a big round hole to drain the water. I’m loosing all that spot and I would like to do something, I don’t have a fish box on the boat, is there any way I can make one with fiberglass, any idea or advice, please pass it on, I will really appreciated. is that a floorboard that the cooler is on? If it is and has a whole in it for water to drain, is it draining to the bilge or is the foam sucking it all up? Can you see foam thru the hole? It looks like the cooler is holding up the cabin floor.Looks pretty dingy (dingee) under there. Are the stringers covered completely with glass? If they are, I would drill several small holes (1/4 inch) in several places to see if the wood is mushy under the glass. If it is not mushy you can just use some resin and fill the holes back up. If it is, well keep us posted. My stringers looked okay, cause of all the glass, but I knew something wasnt right because my windshield kept popin out, when i took off the floor cap all the wood was fungus food mush its been three months and im still working on it, ill keep yall posted, Jimmy

I will add another picture tomorrow of the cabin so you can see it better, the cooler is sitting on a floorboard, the water drains Wright thru the whole it has a 2” PBC pipe that goes under the fuel tank to the bilge. The cooler is not holding anything I just left it in there for tomorrow morning when I will be working on the boat. I was told buy the previous owner that he change the fuel thank and replace the stringer. This is on what I’m thinking on doing tomorrow, I will replace what it need to be replace and cover every single board with fiberglass , I have to add some new support for the floor that I have, 3/4 “ starboard with a hatch door. I will be posting pictures tomorrow night and let you guys know how it goes.<br />Thank you
