1977 Johnson 9.9 opinions?

Hey guys, wanted to get opinions on 77 johnson 9.9? I have a 1976 Evinrude 15hp and from what I’ve mostly read is the 74-76 years were bad. With that bring said. Guy has this 9.9 for $50. Sat in barn for 12 years. Not locked up, but mice have eaten wires and hoses! Thx

The ''77s were better, I guess. But mice??? Ugh. Mouse price is in effect, though

I have an electric start 77 15 hp johnson great little motor. If it turned over I would have at least offered him $40

Parts value !----I would jump at it for $50.00----New con rods are like $250 each

Yeah parts value would have definitely been worth it. He had about 20 ppl interested. Told him he priced it way too low. He was too far away for me.
