1977 Merc 850 Midsection

I have a 1977 Mercury 85 hp outboard. It has the transom clamps on the midsection. I was lucky enough to find a working power trim for this and it came with the entire midsection of the engine along with the exhaust housing. It came off a 1982 Merc 80/90/115 style outboard. It is a direct change but my question is.... is there any advantages or disadvantages to putting on either of these. I can either leave as is and clamp on or change it over to a bolt on style. I kind of like the look of the bolt on style but I'm open to advice or opinions.

Ayuh,.... It don't matter whether ya use the clamp-on style, or bolt-on style, as Both still need to be Bolted to the transom,...

That much horsepower Can't be run usin' Just the clamps,...
