1977 Mercury 850- Coil issues?

So I think my gas issue is fixed but I'm still having issues as far as motor still stumbling a little when speeding up, and motor just quit running after a bit of time running. So, I'm wondering about the coils. I have two blue coils and two orange. Is this the norm? I'm wouldn't think so. So I checked continuity of the blue coils and that looks okay. Why can't I test the continuity of the orange coils? I get no reading. Also I enclosed a pic of one of the blue coils. Could this be a crack or just a seam? How else can these coils be tested? Any help is appreciated.

So I took the 3 coils from my 650 and took the best looking coil from my 850 and put them in. I will be going out Saturday to see if anything has changed. Fingers crossed..
