I removed my outdrive this winter to inspect the water pump in the lower unit and I discovered that the u-joint appear to be oily. I assume there is a seal for the input shaft for the drive that needs replaced. The boat has 487 hrs on it and i was wondering about preventative maintenance, like the lower shift cable and maybe the shifter shaft bushing. It does grind into forward on ocassion then the next time it will slip right in. Not sure on the maintinance records on this machine because ive only had it one short season and I am the third owner but it doesn't look like the outdrive has been off in a while. Thanks
