1977 StarCraft 18' boat manual

Does anyone know where to find a maintenance and repair book for a 18' 1977 StarCraft aluminum boat with a mercruiser 120 horse outboard. I believe the motor is a 4 cylinder GMC any help will be appreciated! Need a wiring diagram more than anything

Hi, and welcome. Boat manuals don't usually get into the details of things like wiring. They just cover generic safety and cleaning topics. Wiring is usually a matter of following each one to see where it goes

What you need/want, is a service manual for the engine and outdrive.

The rest of the wiring is pretty generic.

Where would I find a service manual? I'm missing a wire on the fuel tank float so the gauge doesn't register.

Re manual - just google Mercury Manuals and you'll get lots of hits. But that manual won't help you with the missing wire on the fuel tank you're going to have to run a new wire.

Do you know what the timing should be set at!? Its a 4 cylinder AMC or GMC 1977

Any idea why the guages stay lit when key is off? They dim a little but that's it.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,... AMC didn't build boat motors, GM does though,...

Whose/ What outdrive is bolted to it,..?? Mercruiser,..?? OMC,..?? Volvo,..??

There's a Short in the dash,...
The "Shake, Wiggle, Pull test" might help ya find it...
