I have a 1978 140 Johnson...the electronics are in need of repair...the coils I believe are original. They are the type that do not have the covering over them...the black wrap that is on the newer coils. will any coil from a johnson work?? are there newer, better coils?? Are they all about the same?? They all look about the same for all the V-4's. Question is will any of the newer coils for other johnson motors work? THanks!!
