I am pretty stupid about how this boat stuff works.

I read some about Exaust Shuters.
Can I get @ them in my boat. They said somthing about old style and new style location.
Were are the supposed to be on my boat? I here some people just take them out.
Do they ever get parcialy stuck shut and keep the water from leavinf the boat.

Highly unlikely they are stuck. You have a T in the exhaust under the engine attached to the gimbal housing, and one on each side of the T (item 22 in the picture.

What problem are you having.

I just want to rule out the any possibility of water entering the cylinders via the exaust manifold before I chase what I think is a cracked block.
So these are the shutter type they say you need to pull the engine to check?
