I have a 1978 donzi with a 330 trs 454 two bolt main, thru tansom exhaust...Been in storage for about 5-6 years(heated garage), and I recently started using her again. Replaced the fuel pump, thermostat, water-pump impeller, hoses and belts. She had a small exhaust leak on the left manifold, last cylinder, that got worse over time. Repaired with some marine tek...nice and quiet now... The problem is this..now that its quiet i think I hear a grinding of some sort or a (kinda) squeel...It might be the power steering pump, as it seems more evident when I turn the wheel(everything to date is original 'cept the things I listed), but I was thinking it might be a transmission thing also( she has a borg-warner hydrolic tranny). Is it time for some kind of re-build? the engine has 733 hours 600+ of which are mine(bought her in '81)... Any input would be welcome.
