Noticed something today
The timer advance arm isint advancing all the way with the throttle it stops about 1/2 inch from the stop screw and its hard to move when I disconnect it from tbe throttle arm
I'm going to assume that's my issue
How do I clean it under the flywheel
A binding spark advance arm will not act like dropping a cylinder, it will affect you throttling up into full throttle. Pull the flywheel, clean and lightly lubricate the timer base and delrin ring. If by chance that does not help (which I don't think it will) pull the carbs one more time, and check the stand pipe in each carb for a very small and fine crack in one of them. Look close and hard, I had a similar problem as you are experiencing. It would get up and go and about 10 seconds later I would lose power. It only happens when you call for full fuel, fuel level in bowl drops and the crack lets in air and starves that cylinder. Idle back and the fuel pump will refill the bowl up to or past the crack and you will accelerate again for your "8" second hole shot. Give this a look, hope this is the cure, was for me!
