Greetings,
I just purchased a 1978 Hydra Sport Bass Boat with a Murcury 150 HP motor. This is all original. It was a one owner and supposedly taken very good care of. The boat appears to be in very good condition, paint and all. We did not test run the boat but we did start the engine, with cooling water supplied, and it started immediately. I picked it up yesterday and haven't had it on the water yet so I am still a little nervous about the motor, hoping it is as good as it looks. Time I get to the question. I have the original manual for the motor and it says to use leaded gas. We all know they don't sell leaded gas anymore, what do I need to do? I am new to boating, engines, etc. so any advice you can give on this topic or any other will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bohunter

A two stroke don't need leaded gas but it does need the required octane, also if not familiar with the service records you might consider a w/pump impeller.

Run 92 or 93 octane, preferably non-oxygenated (no ethanol) fuel in it. 50:1 any good TCW-3 oil.

hope it helps
