question, I'm looking at a boat with a 1978 evinrude 115 horse outboard, the model number is 115893, so far, it looks like it might have a lower drive issue with water getting into the oil, how hard are these to work on, the seal kit is 75 bucks, and the shop wants an hour or two to fix it, so it's my thinking that it can't be that bad of a job, also, for the age of the engine, how hard is it to get parts for it, and are there any known issues with this outboard, the engine is really clean, along with the rest of the boat, it's an origional owner engine, and has always been kept indoors when not in use, the engine literally look new, so I'm realy hoping that it's a good engine, and not one that is prone to problems, I've looked long and hard for the right boat, and I'm realy hoping this is it.

thanks in advance

Lower units can be a little tricky for the unexperienced. Make sure you have a good manual. I would check the compression before buying. You can usually find parts.
