Hi All. While I'm sorting out my motor issues, I thought I would take some time to freshen up my trailer. I've owned it for a few years now and have tired of looking at the tired old trailer. The boat wasn't sitting right on it and have been having issues loading the boat on it. Two years ago I replaced the hubs and tires. This year I decided to paint it over and get the thing level.
I decided to rattle can it. I used an OMC Cobra Charcoal Grey outboard motor paint. I painted my little 4hp Johnson this spring with and really dig the colour. I used a Tremclad Fire Engine red for the springs and shocks. I like the colour combination. I bought new Monroe Shocks for the trailer. The old original shocks were done years ago. The springs are original and still in great condition. I used 6 cans of paint, not thinking I would use that much. I ran out of paint with the bunks still not done so I decided to go with the Fire Engine Red that I had left. The Moeller OMC paint was 18 bucks a can so I decided enough was enough..lol. I put the boat back on today and all is level and looks good. I think.
