Quick question:

On my OB I left the motor in the down position and there was some red oil/fluid from it on my driveway (just hydraulic fluid?). My other question is this. If I buy the 78' Johnson repair manual will it have any info on the TnT, since it was originally on the OB from 78'? Thanks.....

Actually let me start by asking could a 78' johnson 70hp have had a factory tilt and trim?

I am thinking they only came with shock absorber in that year and I think only on the 20" transoms and not the 15". But the pros would be able to tell you for sure. I am thinking aftermarket install. Good luck.

I am fairly certain its a long shaft.... After looking at the cover of a OEM factory service manual... Im not sure if the tilt and trim are covered in the manual (unless its in section 6 "lower unit"). Then here is my second question. If not..... is there a repair manual just for those?

From what I remember about the original '78 manuals, t/t were covered in them. With all the newer manuals there's a seperate manual for t/t.
