Bad battery / bad battery cables / bad starter motor.-----Is this something that showed up all of a sudden ? ---Try charging the battery as a simple first step.

Battery is good, an it is charged, it has just happened, i tried to crank the motor and nothing, i tried it couple weeks ago and it was fine. I had to take the lower leg off, so i dont know if that has something to do with it. Could the shaft have something to do with it?

May be the brushes in the starting motor. Ive had that problem before, took it apart cleaned the carbon out and she worked great. It can be a little tricky getting the brushes all back in their places and together.

It sounds to me like the starter is spinning, but not engaging the flywheel. Verify that, and then clean the bendix. That is turn the starter motor and hold the gear. The gear will rise up to meet the flywheel. Now clean the "screw-like" mechanism under the gear with some paint thinner or alcohol. Now lube it with some light oil.

I held the starter motor and it didnt rise, it needs a little push up to rise. I cleaned it and lubed it.
