I have a 1978 Mercury 50 HP that has been in storage, after being winterized.

It has been in storage for a number of years. Do motors "dry" out?

Is it worth anything? welcome ideas...it has low hours

I was able to get the engine to turn over, it had been in storage. It was winterized properly. It turns over but doesn't seem to fire. Any ideas? where should I start?

I filed the plugs and sprayed the carbs with carb cleaner and it started.

How does one lube the cylinders?

Thanks

just use premix in the carbs next time. make sure it has fresh fuel and a good battery. new plugs are also a must
