Pour in foam, maybe, but not the STUFF sold in an aerosol spray can.

That little triangle at the front will have some foam in it as well. That's one of the last things I have to do on mine. Asides from adding in some ply to the hull since I messed up and used 1/2 instead of 3/4 - my dad's 180lbs makes the deck bounce. It looks a bit worse when I'm walking on it.

For foam, I used building foam from Lowes. Cost was an issue for me, and my dad had enough for the boat and to finish whatever it was he was doing. Attached mine to the stringers, and left the channel in the middle mostly open.

Well Is been awhile since my last post but I've had a lot going on and haven't had much time to work on the boat until recently. I have just finished paining the hull, I just have to touch up some spots were my tape didn't hold as well as I hoped and am just waiting on the decals now. Turns out I had to replace the dash because the old on was rotten and boy I though it was a pain in the a** getting it out, try getting the new one in. I cut the new dash toward the port side into two pieces and used a backing with epoxy and screws to hold the two together. I have the gauge holes cut and the steering shaft hole cut and Now the only thing left with the dash is to put thin piece of red mahogany over top of it. The next thing I have to do is put the floatation foam under the floor and I'm not quiet sure witch way I want to do it. I want to use the blue sheets of 1.5" or 2" insulation but I'm wondering if it would be better to stack the pieces vertically under the floor or to stack them horizontally and glue them to the bottom under the floor leaving a small gap for drainage. I do not like the way this boat is setup for drainage in the first place in the fact that there has to be about an 1-2" of water in the boat before it will flow over the ribs to the bilge area. That's why I'm leaning toward idea #2 for the floatation foam. If anyone has any input on this I would really appreciated it. Anyways It's been a long day I'm off.

The on clamp is cover with wax paper because I maganed to get epoxy on it.

before the chines were painted, You can see the reflections of the dents in the bottom, the POs were not very easy with her.

Well I know I said this was a summer project but life has gotten in the way BUT there has been progress made. I wanted to see this through so here's that same boat as it sits today. I will post an update with all has gone on during this process in the upcoming days.
