1979 115 Johnson

I plan on buying one from a local marina for 1200 bucks. Owner said its in great shape and good compression. Are these good motors? Any problems with them or are they bullet proof?

That sounds a little steep for a 30 year old motor and a lot of talk.

I would ask for a year warranty.

Even if it is in good condition you can do much better.
