Hello,
I just acquired this motor last week and when I went to take it out today it wouldnt start. I got it to turn over a few times then it wouldn't start at all. The pull start was real hard to pull. I noticed gas leaking from a few locations. In the first photo, when I primed the fuel with the squeeze ball on the fuel line, gas was squirting out of that little hole to the right of where the black idle speed screw connects. And it was also leaking where, in the second photo, the fuel line connects to that silver thing. Any idea on why it wont start, any tips or tricks to get it running?

Hi,

The hole is an overflow vent hole. You could have a dirty carb or a bad needle & seat. If you take the carb off check the pump diaframe behing the carb flaange. (if you hve one there)

Could be; but if it sat a lot it more likely needs a carb rebuild and a fuel system check from tank to carb with attention to cleaning.
