This week I purchased a 1979 Saratoga 225, from everything that I have researched on this boat all I can find are 255 Saratogas.
This boat is in good shape with 302 engine with a volvo penta outdrive.(tilt has stopped working as of yesterday)
I haven't gotten all the # off of it myself and when the woman sold it to me the HIN# that she gave me WEL-VS-L18-09025 baffles me. According to this it says that it's a Wellcraft? It also has 13 digits instead of the normal 12.
If I can get pictures of it up, it is clearly a bayliner. Any help or info would be appreciated.

Here in Canada we don't get a title, just a pleasure craft licence (#'s on the side registration) and the bill of sale. This what the police here require.

I will get the numbers off the hull myself and if need be, get her to give me a new bill of sale for the proper #'s

This is off of your subject. Do you have any idea where the rear cover was made or puchased. I am looking for this same thing for my old bayliner for a more weather tight area.
