1979 Black Max 1750 cooling ?????/

My engine is not peeing. Water is splatering out of the exhaust. Water is also coming out the hole on the right side of the engine just under the cowling. there is no water in the hose BEFORE the thermo stat. <br /><br />The pee hole is below the cowling on the back of the motor.It is clear. What do I need to check?<br /><br />I am not running it until I can get it to pee...

Remove the poppet valve and clean it.... Possibly you will need to replace the diaphram,spring, grommet, carrier...<br /><br />The poppet cover is located on the starboard side of the block underneath the switchboxes... It may actually be where the water is leaking because there is a hole in the cover plate..<br /><br /> Poppet configurations
