1979 Crestliner Norseman 22' Cuddy

Hello folks,
Looking for insights into restoring this Crestliner. It'll need a new engine, new floor and wiring.

I've already done a pile of work on her. This was all for naught now as 'someone' left the plug in while away on an Arctic underwater archeology research trip for 6 weeks!

It looks like I can obtain a rebuilt crate engine for about $3500 CAN.
It's got a OMC leg.

Look for a complete Mercruiser longtail and eliminate the OMC stuff. You will have to redo the transom

Yes, I've definitely given that some thought. Even Volvo leg, with transom done.
Everyone says "pod it". After pricing that out it looks unreasonable. The pod coming in between $3K minimum and more like $5K for quality work, then a used 200 hp at between $10K - $15K....not really worth it at that point.

It is a beautiful design / classic style etc...but doesn't hold any special family sentiment etc.
