As of right now my block, crank, and head are sitting at Mar-Fab in Sparta, TN. All four holes have been bored to .030 over and the block has been cleaned. The journals have been pollished on the crank and the bottom bearing has been replaced with a new one. The other two are going to be replaced, new, as well. New thermostats are in hand and ready for installation. New water deflectors will be placed in the block too. Every bearing in this motor will be replaced with brand new parts. I have been informed via Kurt at Mar-Fab that my crank has a journal with a very small pit in it. However, on a scale of 1-10, they still rate the crank at a 7 and despite the small pit, they wouldn't hesitate to put the crank back into service. Every working part in my motor, with the exception of the rods, will be replaced BRAND NEW!!! Good news on the head....... They're going to de-bur the head and feel as though the head is still usable !!! I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions for you folks in the near future regarding anything from reassembly, to break-in, to upkeep, and maintanence. Hope I won't bug you too bad. Thanks and wish me luck!!!!.................ALAN
