My service manual suggests using Champion UL-77V permanent gap plugs. I recall being advised to, instead, install Champion QL77JC4 plugs gapped to .40. Would you guys agree? Why, if you don't mind my asking? Thanks................ALAN

My source shows two surface gap plugs that are recommended for that engine.Champion UL77V or alternate L16V.Don't know if your particular engine would be unsuitable for the QL77JC4 gapped plugs or not.My concern would be the possibility of mechanical interference.

So stick with the Champion UL77V plugs, IF i can still find them............. correct? Thanks OB.

(also, can you answer my questions on my other thread concerning the water pump? This is the only thing keeping me from installing my newly rebuilt powerhead and breaking this thing in......Any help would be much appreciated..... d:) )

Oh yeah, before I forget............ I was running NGK B7HS-10 plugs with no mechanical issues. Hmmm...... I wonder?
