1979 Evinrude 25 hp (model# 25904)

Any thoughts on this motor? A guy wants to trade even up for my 1990 9.9 evinrude? Its VERY clean!!! Is it an even trade or not??

I think its a good trade if they are in both the same shape.
Both motors are bullet proof.

Trade him for a day and thoroughly check it out.

Does the 79 evinrude 25hp have points or coil pack?? What was the year they made the change?

79 25 hp has a magneto ignition, with external coils.

Magneto?? so, no points or etc.......? Easy to work on ???
