I have only had my boat for a few weeks and have had it out a half a dozen times. recently I found out that I have been running on one cylinder due to a bad coil. I am not sure how long it has been like this. My question is am I causing any damage to the cylinder that isn't firing by running the engine? My thought is the cylinder is still receiving fuel/oil that isnt being burned and could possibly cause a problem. This may sound like a stupid question but if you put me in a small engine repair shop, stupid would be right under my name..LOL...Thanks for looking

As long as it was getting lube (fuel) it should be OK. You are going to think you have a new motor when you get that fixed if its always been running like that since you got it.

get it fixed, you are overworking the other cylinders.
