Hey Yall,
This is my first post to the forums. I have been reading them for months and find them to be wonderful. I only just decided to join the other day as I about to embark on my first solo project. I have some experience with Boston Whalers in the past, but always had the help of my grandfather. (He owns a boat shop down this way). Anyway, I am looking for original parts for the interior of my little Grady. I have mostly everything except for my seats, padding for the railings, and I am unfamiliar with a lot of different things on the boat because I have never seen one before. Does anyone have any suggestions on finding out what I am missing or could tell me a little bit about my boat. I can upload pictures whenever I get to my home computer. Any help, tips, suggestions on what to do would be fantastic. The floor on the boat has already been done so as far fiberglass work I just need to work on a few things that have been removed. The only problem is like I said I have no clue as to what it looked like when new. It's very hard to find anything online about this boat. All I have found is the brochure. No help. That's why I am reaching out to you wonderful folks.
I have a 1977 140 Evinrude on the boat also and would like to paint it light blue like the color of the boat so suggestions on that would be great also.

Hi and welcome, Chasin Tail,
Once you get some pics up of what your concerns are, a bunch of really knowledgeable guys will start to chime in and give you some advice...
As far as repainting your "Rude"...the secret to a great finish is prep, prep, prep...the final glossy coat of paint will reflect as much what is underneath as the outside world...
Have fun!
GT1M:)

Sorry I havent yet had the opportunity to put any pics up. I will do that as soon asap! Been working hard to get her cleaned up. Got the motor running and all my wiring, steering, cables, etc... Now time to start on the aesthetics of the GW. I promise to have some pictures up by Sunday, monday at the latest. I look forward to everyone's advice and learning from this experience.

As you can see, your thread will be pretty much ignored until you post pics. If we can't see what you're working on, we're not that interested... and taking pics after everything is done isn't nearly as impressive as showing us what it looked like to start with and then the finished product.
