Have a question for you guys. Got a 1979 johnson 115 tilt and trim with very low hours on it and all original. Got it from my uncle where he got new (still have all original paperwork)and lost interest in boating shortly after he got it. Ive had it about 6 years now and probably put about 10-15 hours on it as well. Compression is 145/145145/140 on cylinders and slow leak on power tilt trim. Its on a 17.4 foot heavy, fiberglass arrowglass and will push it very well. Still debating about parting with it (dont really want to because I know what I have). Any ideas what the motor is worth knowing the excellent condition. Will people pay for that or opt for newer motor. These years are bulletproof , in my opinion, and are simple to work on as well as cheaper. Amazingly it isnt a gas hog...at least not for me due to the fact I dont race from one spot to the next. I like cruising. What are you guys thinking.
