This thing did work PERFECTLY before I Dropped the LU to instal a new Impeller.

Then why are you talking about the cam? It can't be reassembled properly if it worked before the lower unit was dropped.

We can offer advice and direction, but we don't know what you're doing.

I am going to put it all back together and see what happens. Maybe if I run the Motor it will Work Right.

put the control in neutral. Be sure the gearcase is also in neutral when you reinstall it. Otherwise you will end up with the shafts out of synch as GA says...
Also be sure the cam is in the position in the picture when the gearcase is in neutral

OK this is whats going ON! The shift Linkage on the top of the Rod that goes to the Reverse Cam ,is Rubbing on the underneath of the Motor and Keeping the Control from going into F-N-R. If I Drop the Lower Unit Down some it works with out Rubbing . I can Move the Linkage to F-N-R if I disconnect the Cable from the Shift Linkage. WHAT THE -IS GOING ON HERE?????

The upper and lower shift shafts are not meshing which pushes the shift arm up to hit the bottom of the motor.

Exactly, I agree... Not sure if your trying to assemble the lower unit with that plastic piece on the lower unit or not, but I find that these two things help alot while reassembling... If you put a dobber of grease on that piece and stick it up into the mid section where it goes it will stay up there because of the friction from the grease... That will keep the shift rod lined up where it needs to be. Secondly, If you put something under the lower carb between the carb and the shift rod, it will keep the rod pushed down so it won't rise up when your trying to put them back together... From there on out its just a matter of "finessing" the two together while someone gently moves the flywheel a little back and forth to allow the splines to match up while your holding pressure up on the lower unit... When it does it will stab up in there when the line up. Enough for you to get the two nuts onto the sides of the lower unit. Obviously , this is all contingent on you having the upper and lower in the same gear position...

Moving the flywheel won't help to mesh the shift splines.

Use a long pair of needlenose pliers the gently reposition the lower shaft until the two mesh.

I am getting ready to put this together again .On the main Drive Shaft there is a Plastic Splined Spacer and a Rubber Splined Seal on it. Does the Spacer go on top or does the Rubber Seal go on top of the Shaft??? > I cant find a Picture of it anywhere.
