1979 Mercury 115 just stopped and wont fire

I ran it a couple hours the other day then while at idle speed it just died.. Now it won't fire.. cranks good and has fresh gas.. Has never ran bad, ever. Always fires right up and runs strong.. All of a sudden it just wont start.. I need help!!

Is there a spark?Check all plug wires with a timing gun for spark.

I wont have time til Sunday.. what if I do and dont have spark.. I wont have internet where i will be... thanks in advance

Check the fuel system...spray some fuel mix in the carb throats and see if it fires.If it does Id say you found your problem.
Check for visible signs of roten wires,grounds,ect.

Thats all I can give unfortunately.My merc has a different system on it.

also check to see if batteries are charged, a low battery can mean no spark, motor not turning fast enough, check for lose connection anywhere.
