While out fishing a few months ago, boat started and got on plane fine from the boat ramp to the rental house. After that the trim pump failed. i can hear the solenoid click in both directions but no movement. we did tap on the top of the motor and there was a light noise but nothing. Ive at the point now of removing the motor/pump and trying to figure it out but i cannot find anything online about how to go about it.... or if there is a compatible replacement. Ive removed the wiring and its out of the back of the boat. Only thing still hooked up are the hydrolic cables. Any info would be greatly appreciated!1000012926.jpg1000012925.jpg

Those were only used for a few years. ARCO used to make a replacement. It was the motor and top part of the reservoir only. You needed to reattach the existing bottom of the pump/reservoir.

Actually ARCO made two models. On one of them the armature of the motor was too short to mate with the pump gear. If you can find one, pay particular attention to that detail, to make sure you get the correct one.

Another way is to take it to an electric motor shop.

You could also take it apart and see if something like a brush failed. Those are probably standard replacement items.

Jumper the motor from the battery before you do anything else. Those solenoids almost never fail, but it is best to make sure.
