I believe you should have posted this in your first thread versus starting a duplicate thread. That way it stays in context and we can follow what you have done or not done. Looks like you already did replace your water pump. And shutters??

Ayuh,.... Yer Right,.... Tom,... Don't start a new thread all the time,... Post in This thread,....

It's ALL the Same Subject,...

I've merged all yer other's into here,...

Sorry about that, will do and thanks. Update so far I have replaced water pump, reconnected water hose, replaced lower shift cable, going to replace exhaust baffles tomorrow when they arrive, put new spark plugs in, changing dist. and rotor today and checking plug wires, probably change those too, she running and starting fine but still running a little rough which I hoping is plug wires. I did talk to the owner of the marine shop about shutters and he said they don't replace them anymore, once the burn out that it, don't replace, which I not sure about, I usually talk to the mechanic but he was not there, he a really nice guy and will help you if he can, what do yall think about this about the shutters, thanks.

he said they don't replace them anymore, once the burn out.

he probably meant on the models where they are located at the base of the y-pipe

most customers won't pay the labor to pull the motor just to replace the shutters, with a little instruction on boating techniques they can alleviate the chance of hydrolocking the engine due to water ingestion through the exhaust
