Didnt like the way it was running, so I swapped plugs last week at night. They looked a little oil fouled, but I run rich anyway. Top port side one wasnt black like the rest. But it was dark out and I decided to look again during the daylight.
Took it out yesterday and still didnt like it. Today I found water in port side top cylinder. Pulled the head. Head gasket did have a hole in it...and although it was CLOSE to the copper ring, I couldnt determine if the seal at the head was bad.
Cylinder and piston looks good, from what I can see from the top. Nothing unusual....except traces of water.
What next? Exhaust bypass gaskets ?
The kink in the copper ring occurred during removal...but it was slightly askew at that point, since the gasket hole water was near that point.
And yes, I know I'm currently running too rich. I had just added Seafoam to the tank too.
