1980 starcraft mercruiser power trim help

the trim goes down but not up.
wife pressed the down button for some reason and im almost touching the outdrive to the floor....any help

Clean your connections on the pump. Then test that you are getting up down power from the switch, at the pump.

i jumped the blue wire str8 to the battery and it went back up... maybe a bad solaniod ....but im gonna test for power good idea.

Weak spot in trim wiring is where the wires come out of the moving throttle/shifter handle. That and the switch itself. Start at the solenoid on the pump and check that power is making it there. If not, then usually go right to the control end.

mine is a mc-1 the controls are on the dash not the throttle .. when i get off work im gonna check every wire and label them.
