1980 Suzuki DT65

I want to sell my Suzuki motor, what would be a fair asking price for my 1980 DT65? No power trim/tilt. It includes the control box and wire harness. It is a 2cyl, lower unit just resealed with new impeller($256.00 for this service). Motor given a full tune last year, new plugs, carb kits, fuel pump diaphragm, compression 130 in both cylinders.

No T/T is a killer for that size motor. Unfortunately it takes a good selling job to move a Suzuki although I think they are great motors and I run them myself. Those who know know. Should be able to get 900 to 1100 for it if its in as good a condition as you say. This would be for a fresh water motor. Salt water motor is a difficult sell.

It has spent its life pushing around a pontoon boat all fresh water. The T/T is what I hate also. I have the Suzuki and a 1973 55HP Chrysler, both without T/T, both for sale. Hoping to get around $1800 for both. I'm lookin to get a Mid 80's early 90's 60-70HP Merc or Johnson with T/T. From what I've heard, I would not pass up a newer Suzuki.
