Hey guys, new member here. Just got a bass boat through some trading. I was told that the floors needed to be redone and the motor needed a little work. I hopped on the deal quickly and decided I wanted this to be my newproject. I will post some pictures of what I have to work with. Thanks guys

Well welcome aboard Jordanchastin :welcome: we always are interested in a new boat project. AND a Bass boat is right down my isle too.

Since the seller, or whom every you got the boat from, already acknowledges that it will ONLY need the floor and motor reworked (translation: floor, stringers, transom, engine) we need to actually see your project boat to get you started. For starters, we all love pictures, so post them away. We will help you sort out your issues and help you along...

Hey JC, If you're wanting to post pics from Photobucket use the IMG Code. Just click in the window where the link is and it should flash yellow and say COPIED. Then come back to iBoats and Paste the code into your post. The pic will show up in it's original size. Like This...

Welcome to the forum!

Looks like a nice hull with lots of potential! Also looks as if the center keel stringer is completely missing. So what's your plan and how far do you plan on going with this? We do have a number of members that are very well versed in glass work and I'm sure you will be hearing from them.

I seriously have to ask, was that real grass or AstroTurf? I think I saw some good looking lawn crops growing in there.

Seriously, seem everybody starts out with the same ugly rotted hulls every time. But I have to say, I really do like that hull design and would most certainly buy such a boat to refurbish for myself. In fact after I'm finished with my present tri-hull Tom Boy project, I'll be looking for a boat with your exact same design and layout. But then I'll not have such a shock seeing what it takes to rebuild such a boating project either. I definitely will be watching your progress if that is okay with you. I really do like that type boat... :thumb:

Haha yes on top of the doors is astro turf. I think to fix the stringer it would be best to take the cap off. I just finished making my outboard stand so ill work on getting that off now.

That boat actually looks like a Boat that Glassteam use to manufacture in the 80's. It has very similar design and interior layout too. I think they listed it as a Pro Bass 1550 if I remember now. But I do like the looks of it. Should be an interesting project to watch and help if I can in areas I know about...

Jordon, I've tried my best but I could see what size Mercury you have on that boat. I see it is the metal panel cowling design but I can't see the HP rating on it. So what size is it? And does it have Tilt and trim functions? Just wondering.
