1980's Dixie CC

This boat has a couple soft spots on the deck; one up in the bow and one behind the console. The transom has a couple lengths of aluminum channel attached inside the transom for support. I'm considering it for a project boat for a thousand bucks with a nice trailer.

A question that I have is: by looking at the waterline in the photos, does it look like an excessive draft? I'm not sure if this boat has a cored hull or not or if it may be water-logged. Any opinions, suggestions, or info, would be appreciated.

Yes it does look like excessive draft and I would only consider this boat as a total gut and rebuild project. Nice looking hull though and it might be worthwhile if you can get it super-cheap.

Any idea if it is a foam cored hull?
