The seal arrived without the shims, so I cancelled the shims and made one about .030 thick. The motor is all back together, pops in and out of gear smoothly and stays in gear in the test tank. It is also quiet and smooth sounding now, where it was noisy in the gear case last week. We will lake test it later in the week. Thanks for the help guys.
