1980's mercury 200hp black max

I am about to purchase a 1982 200 hp mercury Black Max motor. Is there any specific information that stands out during this era of engines that i should consider or questions i should ask the current owner before i buy?<br />Thanks<br />Doug

First and foremost I would run a compression test. I had a black max and the oil injection failed and blew my motor. If everything is fine, i would disassemble the oil injection and mix (50:1) the fuel and oil myself
