Re: 1981 115hp johnson, 3 outta 4 working
ezeke & cdoliver, again I want to think ya'll for all the help and advice with all of this!!!
I'll be working on it again tomorrow. I believe that I had the two bolts or nuts that are under the water hoses/radiator. The whole block was moving just wouldn't lift up. I have read the manual and I don't believe I've missed anything. I will get the help from a friend tomorrow and get it off. I don't have one of those harmonic balancer removers. I guess I don't need it off yet. I'll keep it for spare parts.
mikesea, Thanks for the help with this! I appriciate it!
How bad is it to use a liquid gasket to seal this back together? There are only two pieces that will need it. One is the power head back to the leg and the other is the piece the carborators connect to back to the power head. I was planning on using the gaskets that are there because they still look fairly new.
Thanks again everyone!
